A Powerful Breathing Meditation….
- Every morning, as you wake up, sit up and send your thoughts into the day ahead. Oberserve the feelings that come up, as you project your consciousness into this new day. Do you feel confident, excited, happy, rearing to go? Or does the thought of the day ahead and its tasks and chores make you feel overwhelmed, anxious and grumpy? What in particular is it, that you find difficult to face? Just take stock of your thoughts and feelings without judging anything – you are just an observer. Don’t get involved.
- Now block your left nostril with your index finger and imagine that you are breathing in golden light through your right nostril. Imagine this light spreading all throughout the right side of your body, from head to toes, filling each cell with golden warmth. Hold the breath and compress the golden light into the right side of your body. Then, as you breathe out, see all the difficulties of your life, all the obstacles to your happiness and success, all the fears about this day leave your body through your right nostril. Imagine these energies leaving your body as a stream of grey energy that is collected in a sphere in front of you. Repeat this process 3 times.
- Now block your right nostril with your thumb and imagine that you are breathing in golden light through your left nostril. Let this light fill every cell on the left side of your body, from head to toes. Feel the warm golden energy completely infusing the left side of your body as you hold your breath and compress the golden light into these areas. Then breathe out, releasing all limiting feelings and emotions like anger, judgment, grief, apprehension, worry with the breath. Imagine these emotional energies leaving your body as a stream of dark red energy that is again collected in a sphere in front of you. Repeat this process 3 times.
- By now you will have started to feel a lot lighter and brighter:-)
- Focus once again on your feelings towards this day. It’s a bright new day holding new opportunities, new experiences, new adventures. As you think about these possibilities and what they could mean for you – how do you feel?
- Go back to the breath once more, and this time breathe in golden light through both nostrils into the whole of your body. Really imagine each and everyone of your trillions of cells drinking up the golden energy. With your inner eye see yourself growing more and more radiant and filled with light. Hold the intent for the golden light to neutralise all the toxic thoughts and memories that prevent you from fully living this beautiful day. Intend happiness, success, love and fun for this day as you hold the breath and the golden light within your body. Then breathe out through your nose and see all fear and doubt leaving your body as a stream of black, dense energy, that is collected in a spherical container in front of you. Repeat this process again at least 3 times.
- Then look with your inner eye at the 3 containers in front of you, each filled with energy that does not serve you any more.
- Gather the golden light into your 3rd Eye Chakra and from there send a laser-like powerful stream of light into each one of the spherical containers, until they burst and the clouds of coloured energies in them turn into droplets of gold that fall gently onto the earth.
This time in your life is all about riding the waves of change as smoothly as possible and finding solutions that work for you as you walk this amazing pathway of transformation. I have been using this breathing meditation for a long time and it has never failed to produce the desired result.
