Radiation fallout from Fukushima’s nuclear power plants has spread across the entire Northern Hemisphere and the LA Times stated that the Fukushima nuclear event, “released over 7.5 million times the legal limit of radioactive iodine into the Pacific Ocean.” Last week on national television, we were told that even the Bluefin tuna are contaminated with nuclear radiation. Antinuclear.net has scientific experts telling us that just “a speck of it the size of a pollen grain, if caught in the lungs after inhalation or in bone after ingestion, can cause cancer. ” (NCI Scientific Director Edwin Lyman’s “Public Health Risks of Substituting Mixed-Oxide Fuel for Uranium Fuel in Pressurized Water Reactors,” Science and Global Security, Princeton University, 2000:9).
The Fukushima nuclear crisis is still ongoing and will get worse as contaminated fish filled with radioactive isotopes travel up the food chain into the world’s restaurants and dinner tables. And, aging nuclear power plants all across the USA are said to be leaking tritium into water across the nation so it appears that we’re less prepared today to deal with a nuclear disaster than we were before Fukushima happened. Earlier this year 2 nuclear power plants in Illinois and California have encountered emergency shut-downs and some experts are reporting that 48 out of 65 nuclear power sites may be leaking radioactive Tritium
Independent researchers, nuke experts, and scientists, from oceanography to entomology and physics have been trying to sound the alarm on the dangers of nuclear radiation. The jet stream, and a highly dynamic portion of our atmosphere called the troposphere, have been swirling around massive amounts of radioactive particles and settling them out, mostly in rain, over the entire northern hemisphere, especially the west coast of North America. Iodine, cesium, strontium, plutonium, uranium, and a host of other fission products have been coming directly from Japan to the west coast for over a year. Likely you’ve seen some of the news releases about sick seals, polar bears, tainted seaweed or fish, mutations in dandelions and fruits and vegetables. Even pollen is radioactive too and it is flying around and we are breathing it.
Seaweed is a good protector but we have not been able to locate any seaweed anywhere that is not contaminated! Kelp from Corona del Mar contained 40,000,000 bcq/kg of radioactive iodine, as reported in Scientific American 2012 on 1 isotope (there are up to 1600 different isotopes floating around in our air, pouring out of the reactors, and steaming out of the ground, every second of every day, for over a year).
The geology of the earth’s ecosystem is being disrupted! There has been an increase in earthquakes, tornadoes, and wildfires all over the earth. New stress fractures and faults develop in old, seemingly stable rock formations, as a result excessive mining, well-drilling, etc as nature is exploited for profits. Just like FOOD, INC, it seems that giant corporations continue to place profit before environmental and public safety. Get informed.
