Definition: Sacred Geometry is the geometry used in the planning and construction of religious structures such as churches, temples, mosques, religious monuments, altars, and tabernacles; as well as sacred spaces such as temenoi, sacred groves, village greens and holy wells, and the creation of religious art. Symbolic and sacred meanings are ascribed to certain geometric shapes and certain geometric proportions.

Sacred Geometry is the blueprint of Creation and the genesis of all form.  Rooted in the study of nature and its mathematical principles, you can relate many of nature’s beautifully patterned forms to geometry.  Just consider the chambered nautilus which designs its shell in a logarithmic spiral to accommodate growth without changing its shape.  Honeybees construct hexagonal cells to hold their own honey. The snowflake develops six symmetric arms along three symmetric axis from a hexagonal crystal structure.  Through this ancient science, these sorts of energy patterns create and unify all things and can thankfully be explained.

The precise way in which energy of Creation organizes itself can be understood on every scale, every natural pattern of growth, and every movement.  This is because all Creation inevitably conforms to five geometric shapes known as The Platonic Solids.  Mystery schools from long ago exposed these five perfect 3-dimensional forms as the foundation of everything in the physical world. They consist of the tetrahedron, hexahedron, octahedron, dodecahedron, and icosahedron.

Everything from the molecules of our DNA, the cornea of our eye, snow flakes, pine cones, flower petals, diamond crystals, the branching of trees, a nautilus shell, the star we spin around, the galaxy we spiral within, to the air we breathe, all emerge from timeless geometric codes. The contemplation of these codes allow us to attain deep wisdom and comprehend the inner workings of Universal Mind and the Universe itself.

The ancients believed that the experience of Sacred Geometry was essential to the education of the soul. They knew that these patterns and codes were symbolic to our own inner realm and subtle structures of awareness. It is considered the ultimate sacred wonder, offering a profound mystery in the realm of awakening and consciousness expansion.
