A SUNDAY Mail investigation has found that 14 officers have been suspended as the allegations are probed, and one of those involved is a senior officer of inspector rank or above.

The full extent of officers who are being investigated by their colleagues comes days after it emerged thug officer George Park is still on the Police Scotland payroll despite being jailed for battering his wife.
Now a Sunday Mail investigation has found that at least 14 officers have been suspended from duty while alleged offences are probed.
The allegations include rape, sex attacks, violence, wife beating, theft, fire attacks, abduction, stalking, football disorder, racism and data breaches.
Thirteen of the 14 suspended are constables and one is a senior officer of inspector rank or above.
A further 105 Police Scotland officers and one civilian worker are the subject of criminal investigations but have not been suspended.
This figure includes 88 constables, 12 sergeants and five more senior officers.
