Cruise ship

A group of Israeli tourists were prohibited from exiting a cruise ship when they arrived in Tunisia, the Canada Free Press has reported.

Jewish tourists who were aboard a Norwegian Jade cruise ship, said that Israeli tourists have been refused permission to go ashore when the ship anchored in the port of Tunis.

When passengers began preparations to visit the country, Israelis on board were calmly told that they were not welcomed by the Government of Tunisia, and would have to remain on board. The Israelis said that they were shocked by the incident.

The cruise line did not advise passengers in advance that Israeli tourists would be detained on the ship when it reaches the port of Tunis. None Israeli Jews expressed their outrage when news of the incident spread.
