Assange charged with helping Manning crack password to leak classified US docs – DOJ statement

The US indictment against Julian Assange alleges that the whistleblower engaged in “conspiracy” with US Army soldier Chelsea Manning in 2010, according to a statement from the US Department of Justice.

The statement said Assange is charged with conspiracy to commit computer intrusion and alleged attempts to break the password for a classified US government computer

has been charged with “agreeing to assist [Chelsea] Manning in cracking a password” stored on a DOD computer connected to a USG network used for classified documents and communications, per the indictment. https://www.justice.gov/usao-edva/pr/wikileaks-founder-charged-computer-hacking-conspiracy

Manning and Assange had “real-time discussions” regarding the transmission of classified documents, during which Assange allegedly encouraged Manning to provide “more information.”

“After this upload, that’s all I really have got left,” Manning allegedly told Assange, who is alleged to have replied: “curious eyes never run dry in my experience.”

Assange will be “presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt,” but faces a maximum of five years in prison, if convicted, the statement said.

Assange was arrested by UK police at the Ecuadorian embassy on Thursday morning, after Quito withdrew asylum and then suspended his citizenship. The Australian whistleblower had been living in exile at the embassy in west London for nearly seven years.

Here’s Why the Book Julian Assange Was Holding When He Was Arrested is Vitally Important

As he was dragged from the embassy in handcuffs, Julian Assange managed to grab a very important book.

book
On Thursday, several men in black suits, surrounded by a dozen cops, raided the Ecuadorian embassy in London and kidnapped Julian Assange. Moments later, the Department of Justice released a statement charging Assange with computer hacking “conspiracy” for allegedly working with US Army soldier at the time, Chelsea Manning. Assange was in handcuffs when he was brought out and as he was being dragged from the embassy, he managed to grab the book, Gore Vidal: History of the National Security State. As he was shoved into the van, Assange held the book facing forward so that it could be seen by the camera.

For those who may not know, Gore Vidal was an American author who has studied the actual history of the United States—not the propagandistic chest pumping horse manure taught in schools—but the very real, violent and corrupt history of the United States government.

Vidal was born inside this system, educated in expensive private schools in Washington DC and grew up, quite literally, surrounded by the elite. His father was a high ranking official in the Franklin Roosevelt administration and his grandfather was US senator Thomas Pryor Gore (D-Oklahoma). He was incredibly smart and would eventually become a best-selling author.

In his 30s, after writing a series of mainstream novels, Vidal decided to try his hand at historical fiction. This decision would set him on a path to waking up to the atrocities carried out by the United States dating back to Abraham Lincoln.

Vidal was one of the first public figures to question the motives and wisdom of Lincoln—and he was lambasted for it. Despite bipartisan attacks on all fronts for his critical skepticism of the United States, Vidal’s six-volume “American Chronicle” series of historical novels about the United States became best sellers.

As the years went on, Vidal became outspoken about the rise of the military industrial complex and predicted the very situation we find ourselves in today.

“USA belongs to a handful of men who also control the media. Look at General Electric. It produces nuclear weapons for the Pentagon and also owns the NBC News cable channel, which is a very sophisticated censure apparatus, intrinsic to the system. It’s genius. It’s like an electronic cage around the nation which blocks information from getting through.” ~ Gore Vidal

In the book Assange was pictured holding, Vidal explained how the United States established the “massive military-industrial-security complex” and the “political culture that gave us the ‘Imperial Presidency.’”

The book was written by Vidal and The Real News Network senior editor Paul Jay. In it, the two dissected the apparatus that would eventually facilitate Assange’s arrest. Through propaganda and manipulation, the establishment has tricked the masses into accepting their corrupt order as the norm. Both Vidal and Assange knew this.

“It doesn’t actually make any difference whether the President is Republican or Democrat. The genius of the American ruling class is that it has been able to make the people think that they have had something to do with the electing of presidents for 200 years when they’ve had absolutely nothing to say about the candidates or the policies or the way the country is run.” ~ Gore Vidal

In the book, Vidal explains the false history of the US and how this false history is used to manipulate people into supporting mass murder and corruption.

“I think everybody should take a sober look at the world about us, remember that practically everything that you’re told about other countries is untrue, what we’re told about ourselves and our great strength and how much we are loved – forget it,” wrote Vidal.

“Our strength is there, but it’s the kind of strength that blows off your hand while you hold up the grenade; it’s a suicidal strength as well as a murderous one.”

Although Vidal died before realizing the plight of Julian Assange and the attack on the freedom of the press that it represents, he saw it coming decades in advance.

Sadly, not many people heeded Vidal’s words and we are witnessing a full scale attack on true independent journalism as we know it, and we are seemingly powerless to stop it. This is likely the reason Julian Assange grabbed that book and made sure we saw it as he yelled out through dozens of cops that we “must resist.”

Though Vidal had become somewhat cynical in his final years, his wisdom can help to free us from our self-imposed slavery of worshiping corruption and statism.

Julian Assange is a hero. His actions helped to expose horrifying crimes carried out by the US government, including mowing down innocent journalists with a .50 cal. His persecution by the UK and the US is retaliation and punishment for exposing these crimes and their actions, as Assange said, must be resisted.

If this established behemoth of media, government and tech giants are allowed to persist and snub out the independent press—as they are currently doing—we may soon realize George Orwell’s prediction of a boot stomping on a human face—forever.

Like Vidal, Assange wanted people to know true history as this is the path to peace. “If wars can be started by lies,” Assange so eloquently noted, “they can be stopped with the truth.”

We must resist.

‘I know nothing about Wikileaks. It’s not my thing,’ says Trump following Assange’s arrest

US President Donald Trump, who said he loved WikiLeaks during his election campaign, tried to distance himself from the arrest of Julian Assange, which was carried out by Britain on the request of the US.

Speaking to journalists in the Oval Office on Thursday, hours after the arrest of Assange in London, Trump said:

I know nothing about WikiLeaks. It’s not my thing.

Trump was far less reluctant to speak about the transparency site in 2016, when it played a major role in the US presidential election after it published a number of documents leaked from the Hillary Clinton campaign.

Then-candidate Trump called the work of the site “amazing” and said he “loved” what it was being doing.

Ironically, those statements were used against Trump by proponents of the now-debunked Russiagate conspiracy theory, which said his campaign colluded with the Russian government to steal the election. Russia was accused of hacking into DNC computer networks and releasing stolen documents via WikiLeaks – an allegation that both Moscow and the website deny.

Trump officials at one point were accused by the US media of having foreknowledge of the contents of one of the batches of documents published by WikiLeaks. The story soon flopped after it turned out that several outlets, which claimed to be reporting separately, based their reporting on a mis-read date of a tweet, which was actually sent by a random person to the Trump campaign to draw attention to a fresh release of leaked materials.

WikiLeaks founder Assange was arrested by the British authorities after his political asylum was stripped by Ecuador and his citizenship suspended. Police officers were allowed to enter the embassy and drag Assange out, ending his almost seven-year stay at the diplomatic mission.

The US wants Assange to be extradited and tried for allegedly conspiring with WikiLeaks source Chelsie Manning in her leak of classified military documents a decade ago. The US indictment dates back to 2017, showing that instead of secretly trying to shield WikiLeaks from US investigations into Trump-Russia allegations, which was the common wisdom of any Russiagaters, the White House was secretly trying to get Assange in its custody.

Julian Assange’s ‘Crime Of Journalism’ Took Down The ‘Clinton Crime Family

By Stefan Stanford – All News Pipeline – Live Free Or Die

“A lie tastes sweet in the beginning, but bitter at the end. The truth tastes bitter in the beginning, but sweet in the end.” Siddhartha Gautama

With Julian Assange now out of the Embassy of Ecuador and facing extradition to the USA after his ‘crimes of journalism‘ that helped bring the ‘Clinton crime family‘ and the ‘new world order‘ terrorists (including the ‘domestic terror group‘ called the ‘Democratic party‘) crashing down, if he is soon treated by the US government as anything less than the returning hero that he is, Americans will have absolute proof the ‘terrorists‘ are still in charge here despite President Trump being in office. And if that’s the case, it’ll be nothing less than time for the American people to bring the final remnants of that entire corrupted establishment crashing to the ground. As Julian Assange and Wikileaks had proven long ago, and even President Trump just pointed out again yesterday, corrupt and treasonous as hell they are, and NO CORRUPT GOVERNMENT should EVER AGAIN be allow to stand in America!

Make no mistake. This story does not argue for the overthrow of the US government. It will simply point out that CORRUPT government like we witnessed under Barack Obama and his DOJ/FBI apparatus have NO PLACE in America and must be stopped for freedom and liberty to thrive here. And we will argue that those within the highest levels of government who’ve committed treason against America absolutely MUST be held accountable for their crimes for ‘America‘ to survive.

And yes, without Julian Assange and Wikileaks and their publishing of damning emails likely given to them by Seth Rich, who was later murdered by the ‘Clinton crime family‘ or ‘DNC hitmen‘, America would likely have one ‘President Hillary Clinton‘ in office right now despite her laundry list of treasonous crimes. We firmly believe that government MUST fear the American people because for far too long, it has been the other way around and tyranny has absolutely flourished within our nation because of it. And treason trials, treason convictions and treason executions would absolutely assure that corrupt government’s such as that of Barack Obama’s in the future will fear the American people.

So let’s take a look back in time. Back on July 2nd of 2013 during the administration of Barack Obama, the 1948 Smith-Mundt Actwhich outlawed the use of US government propaganda upon US citizens, was repealed, allowing the spread of ‘government-made’ news to Americans as Foreign Policy had reported in this July 14th of 2013 story.

The first paragraph of their story is well worth repeating right here.:

For decades, a so-called anti-propaganda law prevented the U.S. government’s mammoth broadcasting arm from delivering programming to American audiences. But on July 2, that came silently to an end with the implementation of a new reform passed in January. The result: an unleashing of thousands of hours per week of government-funded radio and TV programs for domestic U.S. consumption in a reform initially criticized as a green light for U.S. domestic propaganda efforts. So what just happened?

Their story then went on to explain why the this ‘anti-propaganda law’ was such a big deal from the mouth of former Arkansas Senator J. William Fulbright who back in the 1970’s claimed government propaganda “should be given the opportunity to take their rightful place in the graveyard of Cold War relics” while warning “such propaganda should be kept out of America as to distinguishthe U.S. from the Soviet Union where domestic propaganda is a principal government activity.

And while those of us who have been paying close attention realize that ‘propaganda‘ has been being used against us for many more years than just since the law was changed in 2013, mainly by the mainstream media which long ago sold out its position as a watchdog of this Republic with the CIA firmly entrenched within the entire MSM pushing America towards totalitarianism, as we’ll see within this ANP story, if the Clinton crime family and Democrats get their way and prosecute Julian Assange for his ‘crimes of journalism‘, we can kiss the final remnants of this Republic called ‘America‘ goodbye.

Back on November 14th of 2016, the NY Times, still stunned by the election of President Donald Trump, put out this story titled “Globalism: A Far-Right Conspiracy Theory Buoyed by Trump” within which they reported “Donald J. Trump’s election victory was powered in part by forceful opposition to what he described as an economic and political system rigged against the American people for the benefit of shadowy forces in the news media, the banks and the government. President-elect Trump and his allies often describe that system with one word: globalism.”

That story then went on to quite literally put forth the ‘talking points‘ that we’ve witnessed from the Democrats for the past 2+ years, attempting to paint anybody who was ‘anti-globalism‘ as a racist or a Nazi or an ‘anti-semite‘, terms that we’ve heard repeated from the completely insane left now over and over again when they’ve had no other argument against Conservatives.

And that 2016 NY Times story launched an all-out attack upon Infowars and the independent media and specifically Alex Jones, who was soon after completely deplatformed by facebook, twitter, youtube and the rest of the ‘big tech tyrants‘ that have since launch an all-out war upon Conservatives ahead of the 2020 election.

With the NY Times story even using the now completely discredited Southern Poverty Law Center’s calling Jones one of the ‘biggest conspiracy theorists‘ in America back then, as Susan Duclos pointed out within this new ANP story, what the msm has long called ‘conspiracy theory‘ is now coming back to bite them in the tail as not only has the Russian collusion hoax fallen apart, but the corrupted faction of the deep state find themselves under investigation, an investigation that hopefully will lead all the way back to Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. Ready for ‘treason trials‘, anybody? How about ‘treason executions‘? Those who attempted to overthrow the will of the American people to get Hillary Clinton into office MUST be held accountable for their crimes.

Yet if Julian Assange is prosecuted for exposing Hillary Clinton, John Podesta, and the DNC as the treasonous scum that they are, while the treasonous criminal scum walk away, free to ‘kill America‘ another day, Americans will have absolute proof beyond a shadow of a doubt that we’ve shot in the back by our public servants in the US government once again.
