Rumi was a 13th-century Persian poet, Islamic scholar, theologian and Sufi mystic. His influence transcends national borders and ethnic divisions, and he is considered one of the most popular poets in the United States. Professor Nizamuddin will discuss Rumi’s contribution to Islamic theology and Western philosophy and share some of his most significant poetry.
