Trump Deviates from the Israel-first Agenda at the UN

Trump deviated from the script during his UN address.

He declared the solution to the “Israeli Palestinian conflict” is the establishment of two separate states, something the Likudniks not only in Israel but the United States certainly will not consider, let alone tolerate. It is plainly and painfully obvious what the Likudniks want—the expulsion of every last Palestinian, a process that should be called ethnic cleansing but never is by the corporate media.

The Times of Israel

There isn’t an “Israeli Palestinian conflict” that requires a peace deal brokered by Jared Kushner, a personal friend of Bibi Netanyahu. The conflict was long ago manufactured by the Israelis for the explicit purpose of either forcing Palestinians to emigrate or stay behind and risk snipers murdering their children.

The effort to establish a purely racist and religious state—where only Jews are allowed to live as citizens—was nudged along by Israel’s “National Home” law passed in the Knesset in July.

“The measure will become one of Israel’s Basic Laws, which effectively serve as Israel’s constitution,” The New York Times reported.

Israel Passes Law Declaring Itself A Jewish State, Undivided Jerusalem As Eternal Capital

It declares that “ Jerusalem, complete and united, is the capital of Israel.”

Ethnic cleansing, the murder of children and journalists, medics, the assassination of activists and Palestinian nationalists, along with anyone in the vicinity of a target situated in one of the most densely populated cities in the world—all of this is now enshrined in Israel’s constitution.

Israel’s defense minister, Avigdor Lieberman, basically said he couldn’t care less about the horrible fate his government has forced on the Palestinians over the last 70 years. He said in response to Trump’s deviation from the Kushner-Netanyahu script his only concern is the “safety” of Israelis.

Despite Trump’s fumbling at the dais and deviation from the script, he still remains committed to taking out Israel’s most potent adversaries, Iran and Hezbollah in Lebanon. But, as is usually the case with politics, there is an ulterior motive.

Benjamin Netanyahu

“There is an obvious reason Trump is parroting Netanyahu. Sheldon Adelson and his wife Miriam are the largest funders of Republicans, ponying up $55 million for the midterm elections. Trump needs Sheldon Adelson now more than ever, and Adelson has a simple agenda, Israel. Adelson backs Netanyahu, pushed the move of the US embassy to Jerusalem, opposes negotiations with Palestinians, and called on President Obama to nuke Iran. Adelson wanted Trump to tear up the Iran deal, and he did,” writes Philip Weiss.

The Donald is a wind-up doll for Adelson, Kushner, the Israel-first neocons, and Bibi and the Likudniks. When Sheldon calls, Trump is obliged to pick up the phone. Adelson, after all, is the biggest donor to the Republicans, making sure Israel remains the top priority of American foreign policy.

“Mr. Adelson in particular enjoys a direct line to the president,” explains The New York Times. “In private in-person meetings and phone conversations, which occur between the two men about once a month, he has used his access to push the president to move the United States embassy in Israel to Jerusalem and, more recently, cut aid to the Palestinians, according to people familiar with their discussions, who spoke anonymously to discuss private matters. Mr. Trump has done both, triggering a backlash from some American allies.”

Biggest Netanyahu and Trump contributor Sheldon Adelson is putting $55 million into an intervention to keep Republicans in control of Congress. Time for official inquiry into which foreign country poses the most serious threat to integrity of US election.

Democrats, of course, are just as enamored with the murderous Israeli state as the Republicans. Don’t believe the hype from the MAGA crowd that Democrats are now the enemies of Israel. While it is true many liberal Democrats are outraged and disgusted by Israel’s apartheid policies, the leadership knows the AIPAC hand isn’t one you bite, especially if you want to remain senator-for-life.

If you want to be a contender for the Oval Office prize, you have to say nice things about Israel, or the AIPAC cash dries up. Take for instance Kamala Harris, the Democrat presidential hopeful, who sojourned to the 2017 AIPAC conference.

Zaid Jilani writes:

Harris has taken a number of steps to ingratiate herself with the pro-Israel community. Last year, she gave a public address to AIPAC attendees, in which she repeated familiar mantras in support of the current U.S.-Israeli relationship. “Let me be clear about what I believe. I stand with Israel because of our shared values which are so fundamental to the founding of both our nations. I believe the bonds between the United States and Israel are unbreakable, and we can never let anyone drive a wedge between us,” she said. “And I believe Israel should never be a partisan issue, and as long as I’m a United States senator, I will do everything in my power to ensure broad and bipartisan support for Israel’s security and right to self-defense.”

This laudatory nonsense is required of both Democrats and Republicans as they claw their way to the top of the manure pile of national politics.

Bibi and the Likudniks complained the Obama administration was anti-Israel despite the fact in 2016 the Democrats signed off on an proposed an unprecedented military funding package to Israel that amounted to $40 billion over 10 years, the largest military funding the US has thus far given to any nation.

Trump wandered off script—again.

It does not matter what he told a contemptuous general assembly at the United Nations. Actions speak louder than words—and the actions thus far by the Trump administration will help guide Israel’s racist apartheid policies along a US fiat money festooned gold-plated path with a lot of help from Adelson, Bolton, Pompeo, and a host of other shady characters snared in the vapor lock of the voodoo trance that is US-Israel relations.

US Intel Officials Publicly Contradict Netanyahu’s UN Speech On “New” Iran Atomic Facility

Netanyahu’s Thursday UN General Assembly speech predictably included the familiar props and visuals condemning Iran over what the Israeli prime minister says is a continuing nuclear program it is hiding from the world’s view.

Like pretty much all prior Netanyahu speeches focusing on Iran, he held up a physical “evidence” to illustrate his points as he spoke this time it was a “proof” that Iran has yet another secret warehouse holding nuclear-related material in the form of an aerial photograph of the Iranian capital marked with a red arrow pointing to a large building.

Though this was perhaps a step up from the cartoon bomb performance at the UNGA in 2012, the act is now a fixture and entirely predictable after many others spanning years, barely eliciting much media excitement compared to six years ago.

But unlike the last number of similar speeches, US intelligence officials have told Reuters that the claims are not true.

Jerusalem Post: “Netanyahu has made a name for himself as the “prop master,” using visual aids to underline his message.”

“I am disclosing for the first time that Iran has another secret facility in Tehran, a secret atomic warehouse for storing massive amounts of equipment and materiel from Iran’s secret nuclear program,” Netanyahu said as if breathlessly leading a breaking news press conference.

He said the site had previously held some 15 kilograms (33 pounds) of radioactive material that has since been moved in a curiously specific claim that would now seem very hard if not impossible to prove given that… well it’s all been moved according to the claims. He called on the UN atomic agency to initiative immediate inspection with Geiger counters.

“Since we raided the atomic archive, they’ve been busy cleaning out the atomic warehouse. Just last month they removed 15 kilograms of radioactive material. You know what they did with it?” he said. “They took it out and they spread it around Tehran in an effort to hide the evidence.”

And on Twitter the Israeli prime minister began making a public appeal in parallel to his speech, asking people to “Google it” and offering the coordinates “35.5022 51.2997. It’s Iran’s secret nuclear warehouse in Tehran. Look for it and share it asking people to.”

Iranian officials were quick to seize upon his once again attempting to persuade through ample use of props and visuals, with Foreign Minister Javad Zarif mocking, “No arts & craft show will ever obfuscate that Israel is only regime in our region with a *secret* and *undeclared* nuclear weapons program – including an *actual atomic arsenal*. Time for Israel to fess up and open its illegal nuclear weapons program to international inspectors.”

And elsewhere foreign ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi said, “The world will only laugh loudly at this type of false, meaningless and unnecessary speech and false shows,” according to Fars news.

Considering this usual run of events anytime Netanyahu address the UN, the only surprise came later in the day, when Reuters cited US intelligence officials who immediately contradicted the content of his speech.

Reuters called the claims of the freshly revealed purported atomic facility “nothing new” to the Americans, according to an unnamed intelligence source:

A U.S. official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the United States is aware of the facility Netanyahu announced and described it as a “warehouse” used to store “records and archives” from Iran’s nuclear program.

And further citing a second intelligence official, the report continued:

A second U.S. intelligence official called Netanyahu’s comments “somewhat misleading. First, we have known about this facility for some time, and it’s full of file cabinets and paper, not aluminum tubes for centrifuges, and second, so far as anyone knows, there is nothing in it that would allow Iran to break out of the JCPOA any faster than it otherwise could.”

A separate Israeli media report also noted the contradiction between Netanyahu’s speech and US intelligence: “The claims gainsay the remarks made by Netanyahu, who said that the site, which sits a short distance from Shourabad, contained some 15 kg (33 pounds) of radioactive material that has since been moved.”

Thus it appears the media — including Israeli media aren’t so lockstep in uncritically repeating Netanyahu’s talking points anymore.

Also on Thursday the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) made more claims connected with the UN speech, tweeting satellite images via its official account that claim Iran is establishing at least three missile factories inside Lebanon in partnership with Hezbollah, specifically in dense civilian neighborhoods of Beirut.

Israel has lately vowed to continue attacking Iranian forces stationed in Syria, and Thursday’s media information and propaganda blitz portend it is prepping for more rounds of strikes.

With Russia threatening response and now set to deliver the S-300 air defense system to Syria, it could be that Israel sets its sites on these purported Hezbollah “missile factories” on Lebanese soil.
