Rick Levine Astrology Forecast for August 2019

Jul 28, 2019

INTO THE GREAT WIDE OPEN, BUT NOT TOO FAST… Eclipse season has passed; Mercury is now direct. The heartfelt integrity of the Leo New Moon on July 31 sets the month of August up with a powerful start. Mercury ends its retrograde phase within minutes of the New Moon, informing us that we already have enough information at our disposal; it’s time to put our facts and figures to work. The first half of August is dominated by the dramatic flair of the Sun, Venus and Mars blazing with the proud Leonine radiance. Mercury joins the Leo part on August 11. Love is in the air when Venus joins the Sun on August 13. However, waves of irritating quincunxes to Saturn, Neptune, and Pluto from the Sun, Venus and Mercury prevent us from becoming too confident this month. Nevertheless, the social Aquarius Full Moon on August 15 opposes the Sun and Venus, polarizing positive feelings and social concerns. The individual (Leo) and the collective (Aquarius) are engaged in a tug of war to determine which is dominant. Obviously, seeking balance is the primary objective. The second part of August give way to the clarity of Virgo as the personal planets slip one-by-one into the most discerning of the practical earth signs. Mars enters Virgo on August 17, Venus on the 21st, the Sun on the 23rd, and Mercury on the 29th. We are assertive when expressing our desires when Venus joins Mars on August 24. However, we can go a bit wild on August 26-29 when Venus, Mars and the Sun take turns to trine irrepressible Uranus. The shift away from Leo is complete by the Virgo New Moon on August 30, reminding us to cool our jets, narrow our perspectives, and focus our intentions. Sustained concentration is the remedy for too much exuberance earlier in the month.
